The school of choice for our community, one of the best schools in Western Australia, and a driving force in the development of the dynamic Pilbara region.
We take pride in the all-round achievement of our students and strive to instil high personal goals through various academic and sporting initiatives and extra curricula programmes.
Maitland House is identified by the emerald green colour and takes its name from one of the four rivers surrounding the Karratha area. Each year Maitland House raises funds for Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising event which aims to help end poverty and promote social justice. With this in mind, it is fitting that our House Patron is Edmund Rice (1762-1844). He was the founder of two religious institutes: the Congregation of Christian Brothers and the Presentation Brothers and devoted his life in Ireland to education, servicing the poor and improving national well-being. Along with the introduction of the House Patron in 2014, the House Prayer and Motto were also adopted. The Maitland motto Seek Excellence is evident in all facets of our House life be it the academic, sporting or community arena.
