St Luke’s College is a Catholic co-educational college founded on the dual ethos of the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Sisters. We are a Catholic learning community seeking to develop young people to be the best they can be, make a positive difference in the world and actively live their faith.

The College opened in 1987 and is the Pilbara’s only Catholic secondary College, currently catering for 455 students from Years 7-12 from the city of Karratha, as well as the surrounding towns of Dampier, Wickham, Roeburne and Point Samson.

Term Two, Number 5 - 8 June 2018

Welcome to our second newsletter for Term Two.
As we move towards the end of the first semester for 2018, I would like to congratulate all students on their application and endeavour so far this year. Students have had access to a wide range of learning, sporting and extra-curricular activities and it is pleasing to see so many students make the most of these opportunities. Fully participating in College life does not necessarily mean always being the highest achiever, but it does mean committing to being involved in all areas of our school, even where these are not areas of strength.

Communio Week
The annual Communio Week was held across the Geraldton Diocese, which includes Karratha, last week. This week has a threefold focus; firstly, to raise awareness about what Catholic caring and aid services are available in the Diocese. Secondly, to pray for the many people in need and for the people who in various ways care for those struggling with various issues in our society.
