The school of choice for our community, one of the best schools in Western Australia, and a driving force in the development of the dynamic Pilbara region.
We take pride in the all-round achievement of our students and strive to instil high personal goals through various academic and sporting initiatives and extra curricula programmes.
St Luke’s College is a Catholic co-educational college founded on the dual ethos of the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Sisters. We are a Catholic learning community seeking to develop young people to be the best they can be, make a positive difference in the world and actively live their faith.
The College opened in 1987 and is the Pilbara’s only Catholic secondary College, currently catering for 455 students from Years 7-12 from the city of Karratha, as well as the surrounding towns of Dampier, Wickham, Roeburne and Point Samson.
Term Four, Number 12 - 8 December 2017
Volunteers Afternoon Tea
This week we invited our College volunteers to our first Volunteers Afternoon Tea, in order to thank them for their generosity and commitment throughout 2017. Without our volunteers, we could not effectively run many events, celebrate Masses, serve all students at our canteen, staff our exams, fundraise and conduct College busy bees.
This week all families will receive a letter from the Board Chair outlining the 2018 fees increase, as approved by the Board at their November meeting. As always, we seek to have a balance between a modest fee increase and ensuring that our funds are adequate to run a full range of programs. Please take the time to read the letter thoroughly and feel free to contact me at the College should you have any queries.
Meet our Principal for 2018
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael Williams and I will be relocating to Karratha at the start of next year to take up the Principal’s position at St Luke’s College whilst Alanna is on leave for 2018. I will be relocating with my wife and three young children. They are all very excited about being able to swim year round and take some camping trips around the beautiful north west.
