St Luke’s College is a Catholic co-educational college founded on the dual ethos of the Christian Brothers and the Presentation Sisters. We are a Catholic learning community seeking to develop young people to be the best they can be, make a positive difference in the world and actively live their faith.

The College opened in 1987 and is the Pilbara’s only Catholic secondary College, currently catering for 455 students from Years 7-12 from the city of Karratha, as well as the surrounding towns of Dampier, Wickham, Roeburne and Point Samson.

Term One, Number 3 - 4 April 2019

End of Term
The end of term is already upon us. It has been such a productive, busy and worthwhile term at the College, I’m sure all students are looking forward to a break. The College was very fortunate to avoid any major damage in the recent cyclone, but we did have to clean up when the all clear was given. 30 of our fantastic staff took to the tools to do so, in order to have the school up and running for the Wednesday.

Positive Behaviours for Learning
Our Positive Behaviours for Learning model has already been an enormous success this term, with well over 1000 positive merits being award by Week 7 alone! Balance this with only 134 negative behaviour citations and we can see that our students really are focused on being learners, being responsible, being respectful and being caring. This week, I was able to host the first Principal Reward event, which was a morning tea for the top merit award winners.
