The St Luke’s College Pastoral Care Team are always advocating and providing opportunities for students to develop positive mental health and wellbeing. This year several activities have been available for students to engage during lunchtimes in the Pastoral Care Centre, located within Fortescue block. The doors are open to students from all year groups to come and engage positively with each other and have some fun. Activities have ranged from Just Dance, creative arts, mindful colouring, card games, skipping and finger knitting – there is something for everyone. Headspace also visits the College every couple of weeks and drops into the Pastoral Care Centre to offer support, run activities, and promote positive mental health with our students, which has been well received. In addition to Pastoral Care and Headspace, we also have the Girls FX specialists from Global Roaming Pilbara running workshops once a week that aim to empower our young girls. These workshops help girls develop self-confidence, resilience, and healthy lifestyles. It has been great to see many students connect and get involved in a variety of activities and we welcome anyone who has not yet visited the Centre to come and check it out!
