This morning St Luke’s celebrated the important role that Fathers, Grandfathers and other significant male figures play in our lives with the annual Father’s Day Breakfast. The Year 11 leaders organised the event, preparing bacon and egg burgers and creating activities for fathers to participate in with their sons and daughters.
The turnout from families was overwhelming and it was fantastic to see so many dads taking the opportunity to share a special morning with their children. The cloisters were full of laughter and it was great to walk around and see so many smiling facing as students shared breakfast, played table tennis, cricket, basketball, hand tennis, soccer, and football.
We hope that all the families have a special weekend. Speaking to parents this morning, I know many are making the most of Friday’s student free day and good weather to go away somewhere special. Whatever your plans, I hope you are safe and enjoy the time with your family.
Happy Father’s Day.
