Teacher Assistant – Full-time

Details

Applications are invited from a suitably qualified Teacher Assistant to work with our students who require additional support or could benefit from personalised assistance.  The successful applicant will work within our Curriculum Care team to provide assistance to students across Years 7-12 as required and to support learning both in the classroom and small group environments.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience and background in working with students in a small group environment
  • Strong command of digital platforms, including Office 365 and SEQTA
  • Willingess to work collaboratively with other staff for the best outcomes for students and a strong team approach
  • Commitment to the holistic education of students, including extra-curricular activities

Qualifications required:

  • Certificate III in Teacher Assistant (or working towards)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Willingness to undertake Cert IV in Teacher Assistant (Special Needs) would be highly regarded

Groundsperson

St Luke’s College is seeking an energetic and committed Groundsperson to fill this critical role in our support team.

The Groundsperson is responsible for

  • the maintenance and improvement of all College grounds and gardens
  • the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities and
  • general maintenance as required

The successful applicant should be able to work autonomously on a daily basis and be confident in liaising with contractors and external trades where required.

This position reports to the Business Manager and College Principal. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children Card and complete a national CrimTrack Police Clearance.

Cleaner

St Luke’s College is seeking a full-time, ongoing Cleaner.

This position is 37.5 hours per week worked over 42 weeks per year.

The successful applicant for this role should possess the following capabilities:

  • Be supportive of the Catholic ethos and the Christian Brothers/Presentation values of the College
  • Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly in a busy environment
  • Ability to undertake a variety of regular daily and scheduled tasks where required
  • Ability to effectively maintain College facilities
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check and 100 point CrimTrac check (or be willing to obtain both)

Finance Officer – Full time Ongoing

St Luke’s College is seeking a focused and organised Finance Officer to join the Finance and Administration team. 

The Finance Officer works as part of a team to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial processing and administration tasks. The role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounts payable & receivables functions of the College, amongst other administrative duties. This position requires the successful applicant to work school terms, plus two weeks of the January school holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivables
  • Preparation and processing of journal entries
  • Reconciliation through to trial balance for end of period reports
  • Liaising with students and their families
  • General Office Duties as required

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
  • Sound knowledge of Office 365
  • Ability to work co-operatively with staff, students and parents
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Show initiative and problem-solve
  • Maintain a professional and confidential nature

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in school environment
  • Experience with AoS Software
