Vacancy – Teacher

Full-time, temporary (3 positions)

St Luke’s College Karratha is seeking excellent classroom teachers to work in the Pilbara’s only Catholic secondary school. If you are a dynamic, energetic team member, St Luke’s would like to hear from you.  Classroom teachers required in the following areas (any combination of teaching areas):

  • Science
  • English
  • Religious Education
  • Physical Education/Outdoor Education

Relocation is included and housing is provided through the Teacher Housing Scheme.  There are also generous remote area allowances for teaching staff.

Selection Criteria

  • Enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, willing to work collaboratively with other staff in a supportive school environment.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum requirements, ability to teach Years 11 and 12 classes and a willingness to support all learners in our school, including through the provision of extra-curricular programs.

Qualifications Required

  • Applicants have a Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Current teacher registration with TRBWA
  • Current Working with Children Card
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education would be highly regarded
  • Applicants must be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education

Vacancy – House Coordinator

Full-time, temporary
To commence on 01/01/2020

St Luke’s College Karratha is seeking a dynamic and committed middle leader who can fulfil the role of House Coordinator.  This is a two year  contract position, with the possibility of ongoing for the right person.

The House Coordinator is responsible for the wellbeing of students within their House, across all year levels of the College. 

Selection Criteria

  • Enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, willing to work collaboratively with other staff in a supportive school environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead pastoral care for all students in the House environment
    • ability to lead and manage pastoral care staff and initiatives
    • ability to work collaboratively with other leaders and staff within in the College, focusing on continual improvement
    • a willingness to put the good of the students in our care ahead of all other considerations
    • proven record of exemplary teaching
    • supportive of the Catholic values and leadership of the College
