On Wednesday, 5 May 2021 our St Luke’s mothers braved the weather and attended the Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast. We had a great turnout, even though the lovely rain forced Mr Correia to be running all over the school looking for tables and chairs to set up in a covered area.
After hot drinks were collected from our amazing baristas at the Saintly Brew, mums and students helped themselves to a pancake or two, freshly cooked on the BBQ by Mr Subramoney.
Thanks to the Year 11s who helped make the morning run smoothly by setting up extra tables and chairs, serving pancakes and helping pack away. A huge thank you to Miss Alban, Mrs Anderson, Mrs Lakeman, Mr Correia and Mr Subramoney for your help with The Saintly Brew, pancakes and general coordination.
With Mother’s Day approaching this Sunday, we wish all our mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures a Happy Mother’s Day.
“A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.” – Agatha Christie
